Origin and genetics

Gorilla Glue #4, aka GG4, is a highly potent strain that boasts THC levels of 25% to 28%. When grown under ideal conditions, the strain has been known to hit a record high of 32%THC. This makes GG4 a force to reckon with; it is only recommended for cannabis enthusiasts with a high tolerance as it can quickly knock novice consumers out very easily. CBD levels range between 0.05% to 0.1%.

Although GG strains bred GG4 by accident, it was a genius one. Flavor, aroma, and appearance

The aroma is characterized by a pungent diesel scent and hints of chocolate and coffee (sweet and earthy). As the smoke hits the palate, a dominating chocolate and spicy taste with hints of diesel take over. Upon exhalation, the fuel flavor becomes more pronounced. The strain leaves behind a sweet aftertaste.

GG4 has dense, spongy buds that take on a green hue. Orange hairs can be spotted throughout the bud. Some people describe the strain as ' a bunch of trichomes with hints of leaves and pistils' due to the high resin production.

Growing

GG4 is a fast-growing plant that can be grown indoors or outdoors. It does well when subjected to growing techniques, such as SCroG. Its high resistance to pests and diseases makes it an easy hybrid to cultivate, hence ideal for amateur cultivators. In an indoor setup, the plants thrive when subjected to 80 degrees Fahrenheit during their growth spurt phase and around 75 degrees as they enter the flowering stage. Gorilla Glue #4 produces a field of 500 grams/m² indoors and 600 grams per plant outdoors. The buds are sticky and filled with resin (hence its name), so one will need multiple pairs of harvesting tools as it can easily clog them up.

Effects

GG4's compounds (terpenes, cannabinoids, and flavonoids work synergically to produce an uplifting cerebral buzz coupled with a full-body melt. The head high presents first, causing euphoria, a boost in energy levels, creativity spike, and motivation. This lasts for 2-3hours before the total body relaxation takes over.
