Origin and genetics

Gorilla Glue Auto is the autoflowering version of the much-revered GG#4 strain. With this strain, you can expect a shortened growing period, high yields, and a hard-hitting high. With 25% THC, the hybrid is best suited for avid cannabis consumers. Although the CBD is less than 1%, GG auto is used recreationally and medically.

To get this hybrid, breeders crossed GG#4 with an unnamed ruderalis-dominant strain. The result was an Indica-leaning strain-60%, although there are variations with balanced Sativa-Indica genetics. The strain's signature characteristic is the resin-filled buds that stick like glue when touched. This makes it a much sought-after bud by hash makers and lovers alike. The dominant terpenes are Myrcene, Caryophyllene, and Limonene.

Flavor, aroma, and appearance

GG auto produces a pronounced pine aroma with citrus, earthy, and diesel hints. Its prolific flavor profile is characterized by a strong pine taste that is felt immediately, followed by hints of citrus and earthiness on the inhale. During exhalation, one can detect diesel, coffee, and lemon tones.

The big, bushy plants grow to a maximum height of 130cm. Pointed calyxes and orange hairs surround the dense, dark-green buds. Due to its bushy nature, growers need to exfoliate the lower and middle leaves to support free airflow.

Growing

This auto is easy to grow indoors or outdoors as it is resistant to common plant diseases, mold, and powdery mildew. It is a resilient plant that can withstand low temperatures without affecting bud quantity and quality. Gorilla Glue Auto plants have multiple budding sites, which takes a toll on its branches. To prevent the branches from breaking, growers should provide support using sticks or tying up the branches. The hybrid takes 8-10 weeks from seed to harvest, producing 400-600 grams/m² indoors and 200 grams/plant outdoors.
